General Information
The Fleet Management division under the Public Works Department provides acquisition, disposal, preventative maintenance, and major and minor repairs for the City’s motor vehicle fleet and equipment. The division performs these functions on more than 300 vehicles each year that range from lawn mowers to police vehicles and from fire apparatus to large earth moving equipment. All fleet division personnel report to the City Engineer who reports to the Public Works Director.
Mission
To operate a safe, organized state-of-the-art repair facility staffed by certified, motivated employees. The Fleet Management Department is dedicated to providing all its customers within City of Nogales with transportation assets that will meet or exceed their expectations in terms of mechanically safe vehicles, dependability, and top quality customer service. Working towards ISO certification for the Fleet Department Environmental program and testing and implementing the Bar Code system to increase the logistical efficiency in the Fleet Department.
