Check-In:
All materials maybe returned at any of our libraries in the Nogales/Santa County Public Library system. In the case of audio & dvds these items are not to be left in the book drop. If the materials are being mailed to a library, the patron is fully responsible for the condition of the material(s) en route to its destination. Patrons are also fully responsible for any materials left in the bookdrop.
Check-Out:
Patrons must have valid library cards to check out materials. If they do not have their cards with them, they may still check out materials if they have photo ID and they are registered in the system. Books and Audio cd’s may be checked out for a 3 week period. DVDs may be checked out for a 1 week period. Circulation records are confidential.
Charge for Overdue:
- Books & audios are .25 cents per day/per book not to exceed $10.00. DVDS are $1.00 per day/per dvd not to exceed $5.00. Sundays & holidays are NOT counted as ‘FINE’ days.
- If the patron does not pay then automatically the message is affixed to their record. Patron may pay in payments and the computer keeps track. The system allows the patron to check out books if the fine does not exceed $10.00.
Renewals:
Could be made in person or by phone.
There is a limit to the amount of materials that may be checked out.
