Responsibilites:
Provides basic and advanced life support and emergency medical services; performs fire suppression, fire prevention and emergency response activities; may act as Fire Captain or Fire Engineer in the absence of the Fire Captain or Fire Engineer; responds to medical emergencies including injuries, accidents, falls and medical conditions; performs welfare checks; performs patient assessment; administers medical treatment and life support; loads and transports patients to the hospital; completes required reports and documentation; directs and delegates tasks to emergency medical technicians with patient care.
Education and Certifications Required:
Valid Arizona State Driver’s License, ADHS EMT Paramedic and Arizona Firefighter 1 & 2 Certification; ICS 100, 200, 700 and Basic Wildland Firefighter, Hazardous Materials First responder Operations Certification, CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Spanish Language Fluency, Associates Degree in public or business administration, fire science, or related field.
Salary/Classification:
Full-Time Position; FLSA Non-Exempt; Salary Range 47 ($34,003 – $47,636) plus benefits as outlined in the Personnel Manual
