Two additional recoveries from COVID-19 are being reported by Santa Cruz County. To date, 14 of the reported 29 cases in the county have recovered from the virus. In Arizona, 5,769 cases have been reported according to the Arizona Department of Health Services website, www.azdhs.gov. 1,282 of the 5,769 cases have reportedly recovered from COVID-19 in the state.
Several local businesses have informed the City of Nogales regarding hours and modes of operations, as well as specials and incentives during these difficult times. This information is being made available on the City’s Covid-19 website, www.covid19.nogalesaz.gov. City partners at the Nogales-Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce and Nogales International are collecting a more comprehensive list of local businesses, who are offering goods and services, while abiding by Executive Orders and applicable health guidance. When patronizing any local business, residents should continue to practice social distancing, wash their hands, and wear a cloth mask. Local businesses interested in providing information to local residents about their current operations may contact the Chamber of Commerce, Nogales International, or the City of Nogales. The City of Nogales is offering complimentary banners to local businesses.
