Waiver

In consideration of the acceptance of my application to participate in a City of Nogales activity, I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assignees release, waive, and/or forever discharge any and all rights, claims, and causes of action for damages that may be suffered by me as a result of my preparation for and/or participation in any City of Nogales. I recognize and voluntarily accept all risks associated with my participation in this activity no matter how remote or unlikely. I realize that my activity or injuries may well include serious bodily injury, catastrophic injury (including total or partial paralysis), permanent impairment, brain damage, and even death. I recognize that these injuries may be sustained by me from tripping, falling, being pushed, running, striking, or being stuck by a spectator, another participant, a vehicle, equipment used in the activity/event, and etc. As an adult, I take full responsibility for my participation in the activity and for the level at which I choose to participate. I have no impairment, physical/mental, that should prevent my participation in this activity. I am physically fit and capable of participating in this activity at the level I choose. I have the proper skills, training, experience, and ability to participate in the activity. I understand that I can remove myself from participating in this activity at any time I choose. I recognize it is my responsibility to learn, prepare, understand, and obey the rules of this activity.
The undersigned expressly agree that the foregoing waiver and release of all claims is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of Arizona. If any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect. The undersigned has carefully read and voluntarily signs this hold-harmless agreement of all claims and fully understands its contents and meaning as a full waiver and release of all claims, liability and indemnity for the City of Nogales; a municipal corporation, its agents, volunteers, officers, or employees.

FAQ

Teyechea Park (Behind City Hall) and Anza Park are nice places to have a family gathering. Parks are rented for $35.00 plus a $50.00 cleaning deposit. Reservations are made on a first come-first served basis. All park reservations are taken at the Recreation Center. State Law prohibits the drinking of alcohol in public parks without a permit. The City of Nogales has yet to establish a policy that establishes a permitting process.

Yes, the City maintains tennis courts at two separate locations: Madison Tennis Courts located at 100 E. Madison (Next to War Memorial Stadium) and Anza Tennis Courts located at 1020 N. Kitchen St. (Directly west of the Cemetery).

Presently, registration for all Parks and Recreation programs is taken at the Recreation Center.

The City operates and maintains one regulation size baseball field, two intermediate/junior size baseball fields, one little league field, and three soccer/, multi-purpose fields. The use of these fields is mainly for a league, program, and tournament play. Practice in these fields usually runs concurrently with each particular sports season. Practice may be reserved if the field(s) are available. Please call the Recreation Center office at (520)285-5782 for information related to field availability.
