Firefighter/Paramedic

Responsibilites:

Provides basic and advanced life support and emergency medical services; performs fire suppression, fire prevention and emergency response activities; may act as Fire Captain or Fire Engineer in the absence of the Fire Captain or Fire Engineer; responds to medical emergencies including injuries, accidents, falls and medical conditions; performs welfare checks; performs patient assessment; administers medical treatment and life support; loads and transports patients to the hospital; completes required reports and documentation; directs and delegates tasks to emergency medical technicians with patient care.

Education and Certifications Required:

Valid Arizona State Driver’s License, ADHS EMT Paramedic and Arizona Firefighter 1 & 2 Certification; ICS 100, 200, 700 and Basic Wildland Firefighter, Hazardous Materials First responder Operations Certification, CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

Spanish Language Fluency, Associates Degree in public or business administration, fire science, or related field.

Salary/Classification:

Full-Time Position; FLSA Non-Exempt; Salary Range 47 ($34,003 – $47,636) plus benefits as outlined in the Personnel Manual

Firefighter/EMT

Receives supervision and direction from our Fire Chief, Fire Captain or designee, responds to fire and medical non-emergency and emergency situations within the City’s Fire Department. Responds to fire emergencies including structural, wildland, dumpster, motor vehicle, and hazardous materials; Responds to medical emergencies, including injuries, accidents, falls and medical conditions; Performs welfare checks; Administrates medical treatment and life support; Loads and transports patients to the hospital; Completes required reports and documentation; Directs and delegates tasks to emergency medical technicians with patient care; Inspects fire hydrates; Installs smoke detectors; Provides public safety awareness; teaches fire prevention, EMS and life safety methods.

Education, Training, and Experience:

Valid Arizona State Driver’s License, State of Arizona EMCT-EMT Certification Arizona Firefighter I & II Certification; Hazardous Materials First Responder Operations Certification, CPR Certification,

Within One (1) Year of Date of Hire:

ICS: 100, 200, 700 Certification, Wildland Firefighter Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

Spanish Language Fluency, Associates Degree in Business or Public Administration, Fire Science, or related field, AZ Driver Operator Certification.

Salary/Classification:

Finance Director

Responsibilites:

Works under limited supervision of the City Manager, Deputy City Manager or designee; Administers, directs, manages and oversees all aspects of the City’s Finance Department. Provides leadership, direction and guidance to ensure finance operations are carried out in accordance with governmental financial standards and guidelines. Evaluates, analyzes and reports city needs on all financial aspects of the organization such as the yearly budget and financial variables, revenue cycle and financial planning activities. Monitors accounting documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal, state, local policies and practices as well as governmental financial standards and guidelines. Directs and manages daily activities of department staff, training, compliance and performance evaluations. Attends City Council meetings, study sessions, and other public meetings as needed to present financial and budgetary information.

Education, Training, and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Public Administration, or closely related field; Five (5) years of finance administrative experience, including three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.

Preffered/Desired Qualifications

Certified Public Accountant or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Public Administration or closely related field; Government finance administrator experience; Spanish language fluency.

Salary/Classification:

Position is full time, FLSA Exempt. Salary Range 74 ($66,230 – $92,786 DOQ) annual + benefits.
