Responsibilites:
Under general supervision; performs public safety services within the City’s Police Department including patrol, K-9 and motor vehicle safety. Performs law enforcement activities as Arizona certified police officer, responds to calls for service, investigates and enforces City and State criminal codes and laws, prepares police reports, conducts traffic control during traffic congestion hours and during vehicle accidents, completes statistical traffic reports for the State of Arizona, assists other law enforcements agencies upon request, Install child’s restraints in public vehicles, supports the relationship between the City of Nogales and the general public.
Education and Certifications Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; One (1) year of law enforcement experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience; AZ POST certification; Valid AZ Driver’s License; MUST successfully complete background and polygraph examination, successful completion of physical testing and examination; U.S. Citizen; and Must be 21 years of age or older.

Salary/Classification:
