Responsibilities: Receives supervision and direction from the Nogales Housing Authority Director or Designee. Provides work direction to other maintenance staff in the timely completion of work projects, Assigns daily projects to staff; approves work schedules, Estimates costs of projects, Ensures there is an adequate supply of materials to complete work orders and projects; orders parts, supplies and equipment, Ensures that equipment is in safe and effective working order, Reviews Housing Authority homes to ensure all defects are corrected, Oversees projects that are contracted with external agencies to ensure quality and timely work, Assures that all work areas are safe, Responds to gas and water emergencies, May-be required to be on-call to work after hour emergencies.
Education, Certifications and Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent, Three (3) years of building maintenance and repair experience, including one (1) year of lead work or supervisory experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, Valid AZ State Driver’s License, Gas Line Certification and Section 8 Housing Certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Spanish language fluency.
Salary/Classification: Full-Time Position; FLSA Exempt; Starting salary $33,691 annual, plus benefits outlined in the Personnel Manual.
