Court Manager

Responsibilities: Plans, directs and supervises all non-judicial operations, activities and procedures within the Court including court services, fines, administration, case flow, records management and budget administration functions. Supervision and direction to court clerks. Serves as Clerk of the Court and Jury Commissioner. Works cooperatively with directives and other agencies and departments, participates in state level committees and associations. Represents the Court at interdepartmental meetings, committee meetings, and City Council meetings. Responds to and resolves difficult and sensitive citizen’s inquiries and complaints. Meets with the media to provide information and responds to inquiries as required, develops implements and oversees the courts work plan; organizes, prioritizes and assigns work, activities, projects and programs. Plans organizes and supervises the activities of all non-judicial staff. Trains, motivates, and evaluates personnel.

Education, Certifications and Responsibilities: Four (4) year degree from an accredited college or university in Administration or closely related field. Two (2) years of court management experience and two (2) years of supervisory responsibilities OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Administration or related field; Certification in the Court Manager Program (CCM) or Fellowship and/or AZ Court Manager (ACM); Experience with the Case Management System AJACS, Supervisory experience and Spanish language fluency.

Salary/Classification: Full-Time Position; FLSA Exempt; Salary Range 50 ($36,617 – $52,000) plus benefits outlined in the Personnel Manual.

COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision; performs highly responsible, specialized work in the daily operation of the Nogales Police Department Public Safety Communications Center. Works under the supervision and director of the Communications Supervisor or designee. Receives and dispatches 911 and routine calls for service; logs call assignments. Prioritizes calls for service dispatchers and appropriate number of agency officials for response. Monitors status of units in the field for availability and officer safety. Operates police/fire/medical radio and equipment. Conducts local, state and national system updates. Develops and maintains statistical data. Performs general office duties as assigned.

Education, Certifications and Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent, OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. AZ Criminal Justice Information System Terminal A Certification, Public Safety Operator training program certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
Three (3) years of responsible Police Communications or Records experience, Spanish Language fluency.

Salary/Classification:
Full-Time Position; FLSA Exempt; Salary Range 33 ($25,272 – $33,714) plus benefits outlined in the Personnel Manual.

Police Officer

Responsibilites:

Under general supervision; performs public safety services within the City’s Police Department including patrol, K-9 and motor vehicle safety. Performs law enforcement activities as Arizona certified police officer, responds to calls for service, investigates and enforces City and State criminal codes and laws, prepares police reports, conducts traffic control during traffic congestion hours and during vehicle accidents, completes statistical traffic reports for the State of Arizona, assists other law enforcements agencies upon request, Install child’s restraints in public vehicles, supports the relationship between the City of Nogales and the general public.

Education and Certifications Required:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; One (1) year of law enforcement experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience, AZ POST certification, Valid AZ Driver’s License, MUST successfully complete background and polygraph examination, successful completion of physical testing and examination, U.S. Citizen, Must be 21 years of age or older.

Salary/Classification:

Position is full time, FLSA: Non-Exempt.  Salary Range 42 ($30,053 – 42,104) plus benefits as outlined in the City of Nogales Personnel Manual.
