COVID-19 Response

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and to protect the health and safety of the community and Court staff, all persons who enter the courthouse are required to wear a mask or face covering. If you appear for Court without a face covering, your hearing can be held telephonically or it will be continued. If you appear in Court to request a protective order and do not have a mask, one can be provided for you.

If you or anyone in your household are experiencing any of the following, please DO NOT come to Court. You may contact our office by phone or email to request a telephonic hearing, extension, or new court date:

  • Any cold or flu-like symptoms
  • Any gastrointestinal symptoms or symptoms of stomach flu
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Body aches or muscle pain
  • Body temperature over 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Sore throat
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Cough
  • Have tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 14 days
  • Have been in contact with anyone who has displayed any of the above symptoms within the last 14 days OR who has tested positive for Covid-19 within the last 14 days

Similarly, if you have any health concerns or pre-existing conditions that put you at increased risk, please contact the court prior to your hearing so it can be held telephonically or continued.

Payments for fines can be made by phone, at our payment websites, or in-person at Family Dollar and CVS. The Court is also accepting in-person cash and check payments through our drop box system, as well as in our lobby (only one person is allowed into the lobby at one time).

Individuals who are having trouble making payments are encouraged to reach out to the court via phone or email, or in-person, to request payment extensions.

WE ASK THAT ALL PERSONS WHO HAVE COURT BUSINESS, TO THE GREATEST EXTENT POSSIBLE, TRY TO RESOLVE THEIR MATTERS TELEPHONICALLY OR ONLINE PRIOR TO COMING INTO THE COURT.

The Court is following the recommendations for social distancing and increased sanitation and will continue to take all active steps to help ensure the health and safety of the community and staff. Thank you for your patience and understanding during these times.
